We’re big fans of the modern Mini. Had 3 in the noughties and 3 more since 2017. 4 Cooper S and 2 JCW. All were fun to drive, well put together, reliable and they all suffered modest depreciation.

Our last JCW Clubman was specced to within £20 of £40K so had everything we needed. With over 300bhp it didn’t hang around and was such a great little car its downfall was that it was being used so much we had 2 more expensive cars doing very little. It’s the reason I placed an order for a Macan. Gratuitous picture….

I would have preferred the 5 door (or 6) but wife prefers the 3 door. It has the same bhp as the Audi tt quattro I had b4 the two Macans. I'd have another tt too, always fancied the RS. Pleased with Mini but a tad expensive at £36k
