If you can’t work out what the picture is of then I have put the detail below too.

Apparently a Taycan at this Porsche workshop near Chelwood Gate caught alight at 4am was put out by 7am by the fire brigade. Caught fire again at 9am and was put out again and then caught fire again at 12pm and was put out for a third time. The pic of the car out side is what remains of it. They are very hard to extinguish once they get going.

Ditto, all collateral damage is rather distressing.

Once the battery is compromised BEV’s will continue to ignite until it is fully discharged. Foam is of little use as doesn’t smother it, it has to be rapidly cooled by water and a tender doesn’t carry enough to do the job. The only current successful method is to cover completely under a fire blanket or immerse fully under water and Wait…… That’s Days not Hours

In the meantime can we get our cars serviced on "EV free days" at the OPC?
http://www.porsche-code.com/PP37WLA6, a Dolomite Silver S, collected from Stockport OPC on Valentine's Day 2023, after a 399 day wait.

Yeah, I believe all the EVs on that stricken ship were dipped in a huge bath of water. The batteries were still smoldering some 9 days later!MikeM wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 8:48 am Once the battery is compromised BEV’s will continue to ignite until it is fully discharged. Interesting to see this BEV fire on the BBC from “Texas” must be a slow news day or maybe BEV fires gaining more attention
