But

If the text in the rmcardesign link is correct then it will not have 500bhp but a max of 300bhp hence unless it weight next to nothing its performace is more likely to be in X3 35D territory or between a petrol S and an SD

Some the italian police units have mean looking 300bhp alfas, i think with 4wd too, if they are reliable perhaps alfa should use that data to convince us that they are relable and fun to own! Then maybee ....

Well, it's been properly released now.

Strong rear bias, more torque, lots more power, torque vectoring LSD... should be fun to compare with Turbo and PP. And if it sounds like the Giulia QF, it should be a thing of joy.

Hmm... so given the choice would you pay £60k for an alfa or £60k on a porsche.

Then wait 3 years and ask the same question!

You don't get much Porsche for £60k... so it depends on what you get for the Alfa.

Unusually there's no sign of a yellow van following the Alfa, see the resale in 3 years! No thanks

Interesting to see that most of the early first drive reports are pretty positive about it. I personally think that it's a really nice looking car. If it drives half as well as it looks, it will be good. Will be a shame if reliability lets down what could be a great car.
No longer part of the Porsche Family. Now enjoying a Giulia Quadrifoglio.

Looking forward to driving the Stelvio when it arrives. I wouldn't buy a new one but I have driven the Giulia Quadrifoglio and the engine is really quite good. Could be a good purchase in a few years time.
