I found this by chance, even though I wasn't looking for it, needed a torch though.

Glove box cooler. I knew about it - it's in the manual - but haven't looked if I have one.
At one point, I assumed it was related to the seat cooling. Maybe it is.

Someone posted about it on the Porsche Macan Facebook page a day or so ago.

In fact, it's the exact same picture - is it you then?

When it is open as in the picture, it allows the cold air con air in to the glovebox to work as a sort of very small fridge. The air will only be as cold as that going in to the cabin I believe. Most VAG cars have this

For those of us with 'old' (pre-MY2017) Macans, the cooled glove box came hand-in-hand with the 'Three Zone Climate Control', for which we paid a whopping £251.
The cooled glove box was the deciding factor when I selected this option, although many selected it because it got rid of the 'black hole' between the seats in the rear by introducing the aircon vents and controls.
This all seems an age ago, and there don't seem to be many on the forum with cars this old!

It's just an additional vent in the system. As above, it gives a/c air to the glove bix for keeping drinks and snacks cool..(and therefore has absolutely no place in a Macan, surely eating and drinking is strictly forbidden?)

On way back from Brighton, my son ate a chocolate brownie caked in dusty white icing sugar. The icing sugar went everywhere over the seatbelt, back seat, his car seat etc. Could barely concentrate on the road ahead!
