For searching out lease deals Pistonheads has a very active leasing thread posting all the hot deals. It's on Vol 4 now for the recent stuff.

It's kinda hard to go mad in an SQ5 as so much is standard. Think I did about £8k in extras which with discount gave a purchase price of £48k. No mad silly discount levels available either on them to ruin residuals.

Maybe the £30k included the discount, the cost of finance, (or even the monthly payments themselves), car tax, insurance, servicing, petrol and money spent at petrol stations on chocolate bars and Red Bull! ;)

Those are awesome depreciation figures on some serious metal. I simply don't have time to deal with changing cars that often, but I do like your tactics! But I've still done pretty well with Porsche buying over the last few decades. I bought a 997.2 C4S for £46K in Dec 13 from our local OPC and sold it back to indy trade for £41K in Sep 2016. So that was pretty cheap motoring over nearly 3 years. Before that I bought a 996 C2 privately for £18K and traded it in 3 years later for £12K. I would have probably got a little more, but it had a few engine issues. But then classic Porsches have been amazing for me. I lost nothing on my first 911 Carrera 3.0, lost nothing on a 964 RS, actually gained £30K on a mint original 911 2.4S (had I kept it another couple of years I would have made £100K+ doh!) and so far gained maybe another £25-30K on a mint 911 SC if I decided to sell it. So no complaints about the cost of Porsche ownership here!

Peteski - I think you and I have proved that if you buy wisely - you can pretty much drive a Porsche for next to nothing and in your case you've seen some decent appreciation.
