I'm not sure if this idea will fly or not....

This is just a thread for idle chit-chat when people don't really want to create a new thread for something that isn't that important...

My starter for ten...

* I finally managed to get my private place put on the new car (FOC by OPC), so now I don't need to feel too embarrassed by how old the car is...
* I filled in the post-sales survey and noted there was a question "Was a full tank of fuel provided on delivery?". I only got half a tank (which was two fifths more than I expected), but mentioned this to my SE yesterday. "Oh, we only give a full tank to new cars". Bang goes blagging a full tank...

I got a full tank for my first Macan (used).
I asked for it. I got it.

I actually never got a full tank with my new Macan :(

After waiting 14 months, I wasn't too bothered to be honest :D

I've now gone off the XC60 T8 as it's got leaf springs at the back. I just can't get my head around such barbarism.

I'm off to Hexham for the weekend, 640 mile round trip, cd changer loaded, fluids checked and i'll do tyre pressures just before we leave.

Hope the house sitter gets on with the dog!

After ten days ownership, the outside of the car is suitably filthy - brake dust on the alloys, dusty rain spots all over, and the tires have lost their gloss.

Do I care? Not one bit...

After 7 years of Audi ownership I noticed a button on the underside of window wiper stalk which washes the headlights.
Found it on the porsche within 1 day of ownership in the same place.
If you don't eat carrots buy a porsche as it improves your eyesight.

Just done a 190 mile round trip to Derby to drop off some of my Lotus Elan bits for rechroming. It rained all the journey, discovered that the rear screen wiper chatters and squawks on the glass. 5500 miles and I guess it's a new blade? Is it worn out because of all the road muck it has to clear? The front ones are used much more but are fine. Averaged just under 25mpg but grotty weather and traffic kept the average speed to about 40.
