Going to Silverstone Classic next week. Last year we went in the Cayman and there were 2 Macans if I remember correctly. This year we're going to take the Macan so will be interesting to see how many more will be there.

In reply to Pete and Goron my main point on this thread was the lack of restoring my settings, music etc. If these cause the display problems Porsche have a very strange instrument system as data files should be completely separate from system files, and anyway they copied the mileage info across and not sure what they did to it as it now says it's not due a service till 34000 miles and at present it's done just over 5000 miles. My comment around software was really aimed at the compatibility of software in the operating system and the firmware in each of the components making up the system as a whole. Firmware is the software in the individual units that is hard coded in, that enables the item to boot up and communicate with the main processor / ecu. Anyway I'll update the thread on display topics with any outcome.

That sounds right for a 'Service' (due at 40000 miles) rather than the 'Intermediate Service' (due at 20000 miles). Remember the system states due 'in' XXXX miles rather than due 'at' XXXX miles.

On the way home from Stowe yesterday, I was passed three times by the same MX-5 (driver unable to maintain a constant speed), the young blonde lady in the passenger seat looked at me every time the car overtook me.

I think she was looking at me, it's possible she was looking at the car (but I'm sure it was me).

My other half was with me at the time, so I was prevented from any raffish gestures....
