Agree, one person's view (although taking anyone called Zachary Shahan seriously is a bit of a stretch😉) and probably as you rightly say, a bit skewed when you scroll right down to " about the author"..,,

Zach has long-term investments in TSLA, FSLR, SPWR, SEDG, & ABB — after years of covering solar and EVs, he simply has a lot of faith in these particular companies and feels like they are good cleantech companies to invest in.

Interestingly they have had around 12% of people who have paid a deposit have a refund.
I do expect more.

Not sure if its because of the above pictures or just waiting times....

I was just reading a research note on Tesla this morning. Based on the curvature of the model X production ramp up, it predicts a 42-46 month backlog for any new reservations. I'm sure that will lead to a few more cancellations from early depositors if correct. Production ramp up seems to be the biggest risk.

I said it was vile when it was shown on the forum and it is very definitely vile!

If they have hired the ex Volvo design chief then he's either got a lot to answer for or a massive job to do!

What I see just exemplifies the huge fundamental differences in US and UK/European taste.

I've had a quick look at the Tesla S and X models in the flesh and while the power trains are no doubt intriguing, the actual cars themselves have no character whatsoever. They are the ultimate in generic bland styling. I just can't imagine paying £100K+ for something so anaemic looking. It's not that they're even ugly either, just totally devoid of any obvious human design input! I'm starting to think maybe they were designed by robots?

The exteriors I find very reasonable if unexceptional. The interiors though! And with US cars it has always been so. I would challenge anyone to find a well designed mass market US car. Most still look like they're stuck sometime in the 1970s!

Model 3 interior is shite. (IMO)
The dashless design only works if you're not driving it. And that's still a big ask for the next 3 or 4 years, so why buy into it now?
Used to have 2016 Macan Turbo PHCKCL70
Previously a 2014 Macan Turbo.
Now a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR
