There's a comprehensive review of the new Cayenne in this week's Autocar.

The Cayenne S looks to have pretty good performance, even if the handling will not match the Macan.

It looks like a very conservative update, typical of Porsche I guess. I'm sure it will be good but I'm not convinced about the front styling. I was hoping for something a bit more progressive to be honest. But I'm pleased that they appear to have resisted the temptation to make it bigger externally.

Not sure of the multi slats on front end.

Looks like a Panny light cluster lies under the tape over the boot lid.

Other than that it looks even more like a grown up Macan

It really does. Probably a good thing though as the Cayenne never really seemed quite right styling wise.

Only thing I don't like is that slatted front grille. Reminds me of an 80s Ferrari in a bad way. But maybe it's a clever disguise for something cleaner - well I hope so.

And as part of a family good design principles should ensure it is so.

Whilst we already have front slats on our beloved Macans the Cayenne slats do seem more prominent.

Maybe that is going to roll over into the facelifted Macan.

I think that a new Cayenne looking like a 'grown up Macan' will be a very handsome thing, when stripped of the disguising tape etc. :)
