Stuttgart . Porsche contributes to the environment: The company offers an incentive to car owners who are changing from a diesel-engined vehicle of the emission class Euro 1 to Euro 4 to a new four-door Porsche. The price advantage amounts to a saving of 5,000 euros, combined with the final decommissioning of the previous diesel vehicle. The special action is now valid throughout Europe and runs until 31 December 2017.
With the initiative, Porsche is setting a new example for the renewal of older vehicle inventories by means of modern and environmentally friendly cars. For this reason, the offer is aimed at all drivers of a diesel vehicle of emission class Euro 1 to Euro 4, regardless of model and brand.

It's been like that for a while, Mike, since the Sport Turismo came out. It's caused by the small print underneath each Sport Turismo model explaining that the pano roof is currently mandatory on all Sport Turismo orders ( in the same way that air suspension was mandatory when I ordered my car).

It wasn't like that when I was considering the Panny last month. I do remember the Macan page having similar issues in or around the launch of the GTS and the turn of the year pricing changes.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2017 6:05 pm

Maybe deleting the SD models has knocked the formatting or something out of sync...?

It'll be interesting to see if there is an enforced recall of existing Porsche diesels for software modifications. My guess is the reason Porsche won't say anything about performance effects of such mods is that the type of people who can afford Porsches can also afford lawyers. Indeed, some will be lawyers...

There may even be one or two lawyers on this forum...

All the emmissions software updates (so far) for VWG diesels are an invitation, up to the owner to have it done or not.
The mods seem, anecdotally, to be mildly detrimental to performance / mpg etc....despite affirmations to the contrary.

It would be interesting to see how an SD with original software fares in the emissions test element when it is due its MOT.

I didn't think there was much of a diesel emissions test in the MOT other than checking to see if it blows black smoke. Certainly petrols get a co exhaust check but this system doesn't work on diesels.
