Having just been away for a long weekend in a Tesla Model S I've been completely put off the idea. Interior quality is crap, there is no sense of occasion as no engine noise, range anxiety for the driver and his passengers became an issue, yes it goes like stink but the range drops like a stone if you use its capabilities, road noise was terrible and it whined the whole time. Not for me thanks.

I think that once the mainstream pros get properly involved we'll see just how well it can be done. Tesla are techies that don't really understand cars - and especially non-US cars - and techies can be hired. But it's very difficult to buy the sort of understanding and experience possessed by the real big-hitters.

Good grief no. Never take a version 1 of anything complicated.

I consider the MY17 to be the Macan's first facelift, so yes.
And even that was riddled with PCM issues that are only now starting to be resolved.

I struggle to think of a car made in the last 10-15 years that wasn't badly flawed in its first incarnation. Sometimes the second version is worse, mind you :)

I took a drive of the Model X with some high expectations. I loved the doors (well my 7 year old really loved the doors!) and the practicality and the huge windscreen...but other than that...felt slower than on paper, too big to use, not good under braking, wallows enough that rear passengers were all haing motion sickness (not my driving style, honest!), and the general ambience was sufficient for a £40k car not a £100k car.
Current Porsches: 991.2 GT3 RS
Previous Porsches: Macan x4 (one of each), Panamera x2, 996x2, 997x2, Cayenne S, Boxster S, Cayman S x2, Boxster Spyder, 991.1 Turbo S, 991.2 GT3 (manual), 718 Cayman GTS (PDK)
Others: way too many...

I have to agree with the above comments

The Tesla is very poor ime especially for what is £100k by the time you picked a reasonable spec.
Battery millage is not accurate unless you do 50mph and don't use lots of options.
Tesla will get squashed by the big car manufacturers imo when their electric models are released.

They will do well with model 3 but again that can be pricey when you pick your options and competition will be better imo.

Tesla looks amazing on paper but reality is not the same.
GTS 😀
