Manufacturers seem to now avoid flash Concept Cars, and see it as a way of soft-launching new models. Looking at recent history I suspect the real car won't be a million miles from this -some areas refined and less showy, like bumpers/spoilers, but in principle the same design.

The Beamer Z cars in the UK will be bought by the offspring of the XR3i generation.

??? Don't they just buy the Focus ST? I can't see my daughters buying a BMW Z car (and yes I did once own an XR3i - actually quite good fun until it rusted into the ground within 5 years)

My last XR3i dissolved rapidly too, tried to claim on the guarantee and it soon became obvious that it was worthless.

Had a couple of Alfa 75s after that which surprisingly didn't rust at all, everything exposed was plastic.
