Nobody goes to see the car though - this is just to blag free wine :)
Yeah, lots of fat blokes in suits eating and drinking at the one I went to and even if it was a secondary reason to be there, they were still crowding around the cars regardless. Not my scene really, so won't be going to any further launch events. But I do quite enjoy an impromptu visit to the OPC once in a while.

I got an invite to the launch at Belfast, don't think I will bother as its an hours drive each way to look at a car that really doesn't appeal to me.

So, Dandock (Mike) and Ian G, are we going to arrange a mini forum meet up (along with any other forum members who've had an invite to Tewkesbury) ? :geek:

Pencil me in, Simon. We've got a trip the next day but I should be OK.

I don't think I can make it. Sorry. Don't you think it looks like a big estate car from the back though?

Hmm - kind of. Opinions seem to be split on the looks.

My saloon version definitely has more '911' about it in the rear lines/design.

The Sport Turismo isn't actually that much more practical. It does have a larger rear hatch, with a lower loading lip. The main advantage seems to be more headroom for rear passengers (well, two of them) and easier entry/exit at the rear due to slightly bigger rear doors and a very marginally taller roof.

I look forward to seeing it in the metal... :ugeek:
