I think Porsche are being misleading here. They are launching it like a new model...it is not. the GT3 Touring is just an option package on an existing GT3 order. So it is different for example to the Macan Turbo PP for example which runs a separate order bank. So given GT3 allocations are long gone for 2017 and there is no definitive information on the size of the 2018 second wave, it is not something that is particularly relevant for the UK today.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 6:13 pm
Agree that the GT3 Touring looks good. Manual only gearbox. But although it's not 'limited production' like the 991 911Rs made, it is certain that demand will still greatly outstrip supply.
Frankfurt Show 2017
Current Porsches: 991.2 GT3 RS
Previous Porsches: Macan x4 (one of each), Panamera x2, 996x2, 997x2, Cayenne S, Boxster S, Cayman S x2, Boxster Spyder, 991.1 Turbo S, 991.2 GT3 (manual), 718 Cayman GTS (PDK)
Others: way too many...

There has been some talk of a Cayenne Coupe. Nothing solid, just the usual 'being considered, like lots of things', 'subject to potential demand' etc.

I get annoyed by Porsche PR sometimes. On social media including Facebook, Porsche regularly plug cars like the GT3, yet we know in reality that only very limited numbers will be available, and those are sprinkled out among the few privileged VIP customers of the OPCs. It seems they are just generating frustration in the Porsche fan base, by widely promoting cars that few buyers will ever get a chance to actually buy (other than at a hugely inflated price from an owner/investor who is flipping for an obscene profit).
