Looking at the numbers , as an example you're getting 12k+ off a GLE vs 5k off an X5; cheapest c class 18k vs 23k 3 series . You're just getting slightly mixed up over list vs what people actually pay.
I don't know why people would buy a jag. RRS I can half understand .
Reassuring that a merc lasts 3 years/30k !!
Frankfurt Motor Show - Mercedes
Are you just quoting numbers blindly off a website? I can get a bigger discount on a 3 series than a C class...that's been the case for a good few years. Stated deals on a website are not the reality of deals available - if you think that you have been overpaying for everything.Johnsmith wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 11:50 pm Looking at the numbers , as an example you're getting 12k+ off a GLE vs 5k off an X5; cheapest c class 18k vs 23k 3 series . Drive The Deal is a good place to get realistic discounted prices from genuine main dealers for genuinely new order cars as opposed to pre-reg. Usually very good deals on all the major German brands except for Porsche who don't participate. I would expect at least 10% or more discount on any Audi/BMW/Merc ordered from there.
Do we have our first troll?

I have just had a very quick look (which is all I am going to do as haven't got the inclination to repeatedly state the same thing to someone who seems to be able to not listen)...without negotiation I found £7.5k (22%) off a 3 series on the first place I looked. Discount on a C class - 23%.
Same place had £9k off an X5 and £9k off a GLE...so that's broadly the same...
After negotiation from my usual contacts (which is not where I looked as they don't publicise) I know I would have a bigger discount on the BMWs as previously stated.
I have not the time nor inclination to be a broker...have to deal with people after the biggest discount on run-of-the mill cars...

Looks about right for DTD prices. If you can buy significantly cheaper than that (unless pre-reg) then you obviously have industry contacts, employee deals etc. Regardless all the premium German brands and most others are playing much the same game. Porsche play much harder on discounts.Virage11 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2017 5:26 pm I have just had a very quick look (which is all I am going to do as haven't got the inclination to repeatedly state the same thing to someone who seems to be able to not listen)...without negotiation I found £7.5k (22%) off a 3 series on the first place I looked. Nope. Matte grey.
First matte ever purchased - wonder if it will be the last!! Epic looking but not easy to maintain.

Ah, so you stuck to your guns. More classy and more readily resellable in the grey, I'd imagine.
I think the Mission E concept/prototype was in matte white...
