Looks pretty dull to me! Whilst I think that the XC60 looks like the pick of the range I can't get away from the image that Volvos are driven by inherently conservative people with beards and a leaning towards conservation (not that there is anything wrong with either of these things)

Every brand has its set of stereotype users.
Eg, in my experience, most Porsche owners are pretentious wankers.
Present company excepted, of course :)

You know the old joke, Goron: What's the difference between a hedgehog and a Porsche? The prick's on the outside of the hedgehog!

Was it not police cars? In a similar vein to 'what animal has a c*** half way up it back? A police horse...'

"I can't get away from the image that Volvos are driven by inherently conservative people with beards and a leaning towards conservation"

On the 911uk forum you would find similar statements but with "Volvo" replaced with "993", "964" etc

As Goron indicates, there are stereotypes everywhere πŸ˜€
2017 - Macan GTS ~ now sold
2007 - 997.1 Turbo (Manual)
2021 - GR Yaris

You forgot towing caravans !!

Never park next to a Volvo as the owners tend to swing on the doors getting out

Well that's definitely a better stereotype than what Porsche have earned over the years! While negative stereotyping has never put me off Porsche or Volvo ownership, I will never be seen dead in an Audi or Range Rover because of the image they have portrayed in recent years. I know it's irrational, but I would feel like too much of a twat, especially in a blinged up RRS for example!

I felt a lot more shame and embarrassment going from Audi RS/R to Porsche.
At least in an Audi, if you don't drive like a twat, you confound people. Which is fun.

Plus, in an Audi, you get to find out who really drives 5mm behind your rear bumper on the motorway. And it's never another Audi :)
