GTS
My Macan 2.0 prompted for an oil change at 10k / 1 year, and the cost was £300.

Update.
I have booked my Panamera in for the day on Friday. The service department tell me that there are a couple of updates that the car needs. They'll look at the oil change indicator/warning, as well as the faulty type pressure monitor on the front left wheel. When I rang they had just had a cancellation, so I have a loan car for the day. The service person said that an oil change at 10k miles for a petrol engine that does mostly motorway mileage should not be needed under normal circumstances.
Part of me wonders if this oil change needed at 10k miles is a bit of a revenue raising ploy on Porsche's part, as at least a couple of Macaneers have reported this too...

I don't think I have quite got my head round Porsche costs. The oil here should not cost more than £50, £60 at a push. So £250 to change it does sound rather a lot. I suppose you are getting a loan Porsche for the day which has to be factored in. Still sounds a lot to change the oil!
Oil Service for the Golf costs about £185. Includes use of a Golf.
Macan SD Vocano Grey. LEDs, Pano Roof, PSE, Sports Chrono, PASM, Sports Design Mirrors, 21" Sports Classics in Black, lots of other extras.

Agreed, Ian. But no doubt a high hourly rate is charged for labour, to help to recoup the cost of the multi-million pound Porsche Centre and to pay the small army of employees!
Am still hoping that my car won't actually need the oil change on Friday...

Have to agree. A lot of the dealers / manufacturers charge "a fortune" to change the oil. They must buy a drum of oil relatively cheaply.Ian.g wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2017 9:27 pm I don't think I have quite got my head round Porsche costs. When you go for an oil change, you can buy the oil yourself. When you hand over the keys, insist they use it. They will then itemise only labour on the service receipt.
I've seen this happen with two other customers whilst being kept waiting in my local OPC. One of them also insisted they use the ad-blue he'd bought as he also had the pig piss warning light on.
Not all OPCs are equal, of course, but worth a punt, or at least asking in advance.
