Just curious - would anyone with a new 17 or 67 plate Macan mind checking their oil change indicator - right hand dial in your dash.

Am just wondering if other new Porsches appear to be programmed to 'need' a first oil change after 10,000 miles/12 months.

Cheers! :)

And try the same exercise on a Panamera Sport Turismo if you get the chance! ;)

Mine definitely shows oil change in 20k miles / 24 months, same as the intermediate service.

FWIW, my copy of the US Macan Maintenance Manual states:

Additional maintenance every 10,000 miles, but no later than every 12 months:
Macan S, Macan Turbo: Change engine oil and oil filter

Something odd going on. Prior to this week, I'd not heard of this oil change at 10k regime...

And when I bought my first two Porsches, a point was made that the servicing isn't too pricey really, as it's only required once every couple of years (assuming driving less than 20k miles in 24 months) ... 🤔

My May 17 reg SD is showing at 3,309 miles to date:

Interval 1.
36,700m on 3/2021
2.
16,700m on 3/2019
3.
Oil change
16,000m on 3/2019

My OPC received the car late March, but I did not want it delivered to me until 1 May. So that makes some sense.

Mine's definitely 20k miles / 2 years but i'll get it done after one and probably go to Mobil 1 5W-50 as we don't see anything below -25C here.

I am not sure if this includes your current engine, but you can also check oil type and recommended change interval on the Mobil oil site here: http://www.mobil1.co.uk/which-synthetic ... nding.aspx

The models that I tried showed 20,000miles/24 months consistently.
