Still not sure whether having the standard plastic dash really adversely impacts the feel of the interior. £3,338 seems like too much for some stitching and alcantara (the GTS package), so am now wondering whether to go with leather seats which you can have with alcantara trim and leather dash (black leather interior with alcantara package) which "only" costs £1,242...but you loose the alcantara seats and GTS logo on the seats and you have to have seat ventilation at £657...so that only "saves" £1,500.

Or with Sport-Tex which has better contract stitching but less alcantara inc. a leather s/wheel but no requirement for ventilation - over a £2,000 "save" vs GTS package.

Arghhh  Any thoughts?!
I agree the 3.338 for GTS interior pack is way too much. Stick with your first code and that will be depreciation proof.

+1. If you may only be keeping it for a matter of months (from one who knows the pain of depreciation ;) ) I too would stick with the standard interior. It is still a very nice place to be with a combination of good quality leather, alcantara & plastics. :)

Magic - thank you guys. Will do as suggested and stick to standard GTS!

In the interim, the current substitute from Merc whilst I still wait for confirmed news on mine.

I got loaned a 911 C4GTS for a few days (the one I ended up buying), but I think this 'loaner' trumps everything!

I got a loaner Golf 2.0 TDI GT on Saturday while waiting for my wife’s new GTi to arrive. Not quite in the same league as the Merc above lol.

Went for a test drive in a 718 Boxster S - as I've been thinking of getting the 718 GTS. It was a fabulous car to drive in an awesome colour (miami blue) - very quick with sweet handling. However, the one thing (big thing) missing was the sound - it just wasn't there despite the car having sports exhaust.

The sound has put a doubt in my head and even though the 911s have turbo charged engines they still do sound good with SE - probably done to the fact that they are still a flat six cylinder.

Hmm...

How about a top spec, low mileage, naturally aspirated Boxster or Cayman, Arif?

Or even a GT4?

P.S. I love Miami Blue - great, cheerful colour! 😎
