This is my current spec - like Virage keeping it very sensible and not speccing the GTS interior pack - didn't have it on my 911 C4GTS.

Always an eye on residuals so keeping it to only 4.5k of extras. I spoke to OPC earlier this week and they said I could probably have one by mid December!

Not sure whether to delay it and take one March 18?
I am dithering on the GTS package...my last Cayman felt rather spartan vs the Spyder and that was all to do with having leather dash, contrast stitching and more alcantara...but it is £3.3k extra and not going to get all of that back...but maybe some :?

I would love to have all that red stitching but as you say not going to get it all back, and as I change cars often probably doesn't make sense to spec it. If it was a keeper I'd probably spec it.

When you getting yours Virage?

Very stylish, Arif. Same colour and very similar spec to your 991.2 C4GTS?

Were you surprised that they could get you in one within 2 months?

1st one at the OPC...they think December build so realistically that means January delivery (as wouldn't take it in the 2nd half of Dec).

I know we all love and cherish the NA engines but I have to say having driven a 991.1 C4GTS and a 991.2 C4GTS. The 991.2 was a better, faster car - the noise from the exhaust was still impressive even though it may not have been quite NA levels. The turbos have more usable power across the entire rev range.
Agree about the Carrera, we loved the Carrera GTS at Silverstone, it is a 6 pot turboed engine with lots of torque and oomph. But the 4 pot 718 did not excite, sorry to say. They still are great cars in all the other important departments. Boils down to expectations perhaps . 😃
Our stable:
- 992 Carrera T - manual - Ruby Star Neo - Carrera Excl. wheels (2023)
- BMW 240i xDrive (G42) - Portimao Blue - AC Schnitzer tune
ex: 981 Cayman GTS, Macan S Diesl, Macan Turbo, 991.2 Carrera S, 718 Cayman GTS, i30 N, 718 Cayman GTS 4.0

I was a little surprised Simon, but I guess people are waiting to drive it before ordering one particularly the previous GTS owners. Its a bit like the Gen 2 991 people were initially reluctant to order one but once they'd driven it they were ready to order.

My latest spec:

http://www.porsche-code.com/PJXB5EL4

Still not sure whether having the standard plastic dash really adversely impacts the feel of the interior. £3,338 seems like too much for some stitching and alcantara (the GTS package), so am now wondering whether to go with leather seats which you can have with alcantara trim and leather dash (black leather interior with alcantara package) which "only" costs £1,242...but you loose the alcantara seats and GTS logo on the seats and you have to have seat ventilation at £657...so that only "saves" £1,500.

Or with Sport-Tex which has better contract stitching but less alcantara inc. a leather s/wheel but no requirement for ventilation - over a £2,000 "save" vs GTS package.

Arghhh  Any thoughts?!

I was a bit underwhelmed by the Sport-Tex when I tried it, but it is a big saving. One addition I would go for is the heated multifunction steering wheel - it's relatively cheap and well worth it. If you like full leather and are not that bothered about black bits (I don't like them at all), you could try speccing an S......... ;)
Gone: Macan S petrol
Gone: Boxster S:
