Any ways My views on the Golf after My Macans are as follows .....
My Macans dynamically were always sure footed and very rewarding although thought by many not the best handling Macan which now is the GTS. Which if I had driven one I would probably agree to a certain degree.
After having a much reduced budget Ive settled for the Facelift Golf R DSG.
In comparison to the Macan which is difficult because of the size and weight difference the Golf disguises its weight of 1.5tons quite easily just like the Macan Turbos 2tons seem to dissappear under full acceleration.
Handling wise these two are obviously very different animals. The Golf R has really grown on the Wife and I. The 4wd golf feels like no Porsche in that its a Front drive transverse then joined by rear drive to become four wheel drive.
This configuration takes a bit of getting used to after the Macan.
Now I have become more in tune with the dynamics and the simular gearbox to PDK its really become an excellent package so far.

Thanks Wingco. Funny you say that as diving the Golf feels very much like a Mini panamera but with a smidge more weight over the front wheels. This is the only simular feel I get compared to driving any other porsche. It feels a mix of a lightweight boxster to panamera.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 9:08 pm Hey Jon! The Golf is a real hoot to drive. Especially over 4500 rpm. I have a poverty spec lease and £ for £ is the best car I’ve ever had.
Macan SD Vocano Grey. LEDs, Pano Roof, PSE, Sports Chrono, PASM, Sports Design Mirrors, 21" Sports Classics in Black, lots of other extras.
