I must be getting old.
A Panny is not a Sports Car, no matter how great it is, and great is what it most certainly is.
Low bodyline and only two seats or two + two very small rear seats maketh a sports car.
The Panny is a GT saloon, more a modern Lotus Cortina?

Funny you should say that, Col. By coincidence, I saw a Lotus Cortina here on the road in Swindon today!
And I agree with you. The Panamera is not a sports car, not even in saloon form in Carmine Red with SC and rear axle steering!

1966 vintage, 0-60 in just under 10s which was pretty quick in the 60s.
A mate had one, well it was a bog standard Cortina modded to look like the Lotus.

Oh the joy, as a teenager, of seeing Lotus Cortinas blasting around Oulton Park battling it out with Cooper Ss (plural of S?!!), Imps and Ford Galaxies. And driven by some the top names of the day.
VG Petrol S http://www.porsche-code.com/PHIVCQU7 And a GT3 RS... by Lego! Not crash-tested!

It should have been the diesel Panamera. That is a true sportscar.
