New Vantage is officially launched on the 21st November.

Went to the factory on Saturday morning for a preview. Bit of a pointless post in some respects as I had to sign to say I would not share any information and phones were taken away. However I will say in my opinion it is pretty cool.

I would have liked to purchase this little number but alas they are £500k base price and, even if I found that kind of money in a matress, they were all sold out before production (only 99 produced I think). Absolutely love the exterior and colour...certainly not the interior!

I've never quite understood the apparent appeal of Aston Martins. They seem to look the part, but don't really deliver the emotional elements expected of a "supercar".

Virage thanks for sharing 👍

Love the exterior and colour looks great too. My wife’s favourite car...
Interior is plain awful. Awful is not a string enough word....

Hopefully newer Aston’s are more reliable

Interesting 'thunderbirds are go' tail lights. And perhaps a pointer that the example is LHD.

Not sure about the H&S policy with cables all over the floor. 😳

I like the colour but I'm not sure a left hand drive car is that convenient in the Uk :D

We're going to the launch even at our local dealer on the 2nd December, had a look at a DB11 but think its a bit too big, hoping the Vantage is a bit more compact.

I hope this iteration of the Vantage is better than the last. A Vantage S was my first choice car 4 years ago until I drove one back to back with a Porsche and never looked back as the Vantage was positively agricultural by comparison!

I think the link with 007, going all the way back to Goldfinger and the DB5, has a fair bit to do with the enduring appeal of Aston Martin. Possibly one of the most successful examples of product placement, ever.

From 1964 (Goldfinger) right the way up to 2015 (Spectre) Aston Martin has so far enjoyed a 51 year on-screen relationship with James Bond, in his various guises.

Some folks buy a Porsche when they reach 'a certain age' (and bank balance/affordability) and others go a different route and buy an Aston... ;)

Definitely a whole new car vs the old. Some have complained that it is not a true Aston any more with the swtich to using some AMG parts but personally I think that's rubbish - it's not like most other manufacturers aren't on shared architecture. So the AMG hot V engine we know is both reliable and epic. The Vantage, like the DB11, also uses some Mercedes tech which definitely modernises it. I totally know what you mean about being agricultural - I have tried to fall in love with DB7, then DB9, then Vantage, then DBS then Vantage V12 S...but all felt too unrefined and rough for me when actually on the road. DB11 definitely feels very different so fully expect the Vantage to be the same.
