Was listening to a radio documentary on the BBC World Service the other day about Saudi and the current goings on. A Saudi national told a joke that typified the historic Saudi business mindset.

Two contractors talking, an American and a Saudi. The American says 'see that bridge it cost $40mil to build and we charged $60mil - $20mil profit (big grin of self satisfaction). The Saudi responds by saying 'do you see that other bridge over there? The American says... errr... no! Exactly, says the Saudi, and we charged $60mil for it and made $60mil profit!
