Probably old news but I had to take the VW T5 into central London today (2014 plate 2L Diesel, commercial).
I always use a pay by phone app and expect to pay they best part of £40 for 8 hours but I have to say I was a bit shocked today as I was charged an additional £19.60 for the privalige .
Just looked it up on line and this is the new diesel tax added to any diesel vehicle parking and imposed by Westminster Council. This applies to all diesel vehicles and is in addition to congestion charge and the new T charge for older diesel vehicles.
There has to be something wrong with this. It will have a huge impact on small service businesses and ultimately be passed on to the clients but from what I’ve read, the far more polluting buses and taxis driving around are unaffected!!

I don’t mind diesels coming into London, so long as they coast the last 2km and keep the engine off for the duration of your stay
And I thought that you too were a diesel owner with an ironic usernameгрязныйдизель wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2017 7:44 am I don’t mind diesels coming into London, so long as they coast the last 2km and keep the engine off for the duration of your stay
