It doesn't look like the larger oval is on straight, more so on the right but also a bit on the left side as well. Seems the oval is off centre unless the pics are deceiving me. I'm sure you paid plenty for the job so make sure they get it perfect.
Just seen the thread, Simon, and no, you’re not overreacting. It would drive me bananas. And I agree about the slightly skewed appearance of the inside pipe. It could be an idiosyncrasy but I would check out whatever is shown re twin pipes on the Porsche Panny pages as a comparison re both issues.

You could always avoid looking at the rear end Simon
But I feel your pain. I had a 2008 XF 2.7d with rectangular shaped pipes. They always looked crooked and I had to take the car back to the dealer for realignment several times. For some strange reason the left pipe always rotated clockwise ten to fifteen degrees after it was aligned with it’s opposite number and it used to drive me nuts. I traded it in for a 3.0d S when it was twelve months old.

I hadn't even noticed the slight rotation issue until this evening
But it drives me crazy if I see a mis-aligned number plate!
I think I'll ask them to give the right hand ones the same gap between the pipes as the ones on the left.
I'll update on here with progress...
