Litchfield have recently installed their own upgraded Maha dyno. The figures were taken from that yesterday afternoon.

Iain Litchfield pointed out that the ambient temperature inside the dyno cell was over 33 degrees. He thinks on a cooler day, the outputs would be closer to 490bhp and 440-450 lb ft of torque. In fact he’s kindly offered a follow-up dyno session when the weather has cooled down. :)

They have a highly impressive facility there.

Interesting stats and plainly makes Litchfield interesting too. Look forward to the reports of how the car drives/responds etc.

I’d say Litchfield are an interesting outfit. Established for over 20 years, impressive facility, the biggest supplier of Akrapovic exhausts in the UK. Their site is full of GT-Rs (their speciality). They had a 918 in the other day and regularly work on McLarens, Porsches, Ferraris and the like.

P.S. I am not on commission! ;)

I asked about doing things in stages, with remap first, but they said if I did that, the remap would need doing again after the work on the manifolds/CATs/silencer.

Cheers,

Simon
That’s very interesting Simon. I wondered if it was a specific remap rather than just generic one & whether they would run it on a dyno to verify figures. I’m glad I asked. It sounds like I need all three doing at once.

I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts. Enjoy!!

Some interesting stats:

My upgraded T - 480bhp and 408 lb ft of torque.

Standard 991.2 Carrera - 365bhp & 331 lb ft.
Carrera S - 414bhp & 368 lb ft.
GTS - 444bhp & 405 lb ft.
991.1 GT3 - 468bhp & 324 lb ft.
991.2 GT3 - 493bhp & 339 lb ft.

Iain Litchfield is confident that on a cooler day (i.e. not 33 degrees centigrade in the dyno cell) my car’s figures would be closer to 490bhp & 450 lb ft.

992 Carrera S - 444bhp & 391 lb ft.

Wow, that's quite an increase in power, but in a week you'll think it's too slow as you get used to it. Hehe! ;-)

Enjoy! :-)
