Very sensible, WingCo and I might even be able to get the Litchfield treatment past my wife when I would normally change the car on the same basis :D

You’re welcome! ;)

P.S. I do appreciate that my modifications will limit the resale market for my T when I eventually move on, but as discussed above, I think that those in the know will appreciate the Litchfield treatment, especially with plenty of motoring journalist reviews, which are unanimously in praise of the Litchfield T.

I think you will have no problem other than mileage when it’s time to move on the Yellow Peril and I agree that informed buyers would be more than happy to buy a Litchfield T

Agreed. But if I succeed in keeping this one long term, hopefully the depreciation curve will flatten out with time, albeit that a 911 covering 15k miles a year will be worth less than a similar car of similar age with a more typical ‘911 mileage’.

I’m not far behind you in terms of mileage and I don’t understand why people buy these cars and don’t drive them 😳

Exactly! It’s a car and not an ornament or a precious museum object that must be treated with kid gloves. I actually don’t mind that my car has a few minor battle scars (stone chips) as I think they add character! One can’t drive a car 15,000 miles a year and keep it looking exactly as it did in the showroom on collection day when brand new! :P

Had my 911 991.2 C4S for a year now ,absolutely fabulous machine but I’ve just had a 992 4S demo for 4 days and I cannot believe the difference they are at another level in nearly every way, personally I won’t spend money upgrading my 911s if I want something faster or that handles better I’d sooner plough the costs into a GT3 where I shouldn’t suffer to much if any depreciation, your warranty is obviously gone but you’ve gone into the modifications with your eyes open, come sale time probably no OPC will buy it from you as they won’t be able to put a warranty on it and would a private buyer spending thousands buy it modified ,high mileage for a Porsche and without a warranty I’m not sure only time will tell,I’m debating now whether to go the 992 route or keep my 991.2, anyone who hasn’t driven a 992 and gets the opportunity should try one they are truly brilliant.

Hi Steve,

How many miles have you done in your 991.2 C4S?
