Rab J wrote: Sun Aug 18, 2019 3:42 pm Well considered review Wing but a bit unfair singing such praise and unsettling us other 911 owners. I will now spend another week trying to convince myself that a Litchfield GTS wouldn't add up. Getting harder with every new post from yourself and the man maths just scream "do it" :?
I must admit that it is very appealing! I think the Litchfield upgrade takes the GTS to c 520 hp too 😁
Sounds tasty...!

And 520hp is just the ECU remap. Would be more with exhaust work (manifolds, sports CATs, silencer etc). ;)
I’m away on holiday so this is the first opportunity I’ve had to read this. Thanks for posting Simon. I know I have probed you for answers more than most, but then I am going to get the engine work done on my GTS too.
I’m looking at the exhaust mods (all) and re-map. My budget won’t stretch to the suspension mods but I feel my GTS will handle the extra velocity.
I’ve toyed with a 992 Turbo but really like my GTS and all the whizadry inside work so to be a small financial outlay so keep the love nice and strong.
I’m sure I’ll be close to 540hp when all done and that is close to 991 Turbo performance.

Thanks again for sharing.

Smithy please do report back once you've had it done. 540 is, indeed, getting very close to Turbo territory. I didnt realise there was that much available to be released :o

The Cayenne is at Swindon for the day and they've loaned me a 911 992 4S...blimey, WHAT. A. CAR. (Boring colour mind you...)

Now, I'm not one for the raucousness that comes with a Cayman or Boxster (though my 991.2 does have sports exhaust), so the lack of the sports exhaust on the loaner doesn't worry me...in fact, the noise seemed fine to me but the 992 is steps ahead of my 991 in it's "day to day" driveability. Put your foot down and it feels so planted and safe
Haven't got to grips with all the new fangled dash mind you...
