Hi Simon,

Nice spec, not too much.

Sorry, but I just couldn't live with the colour, I really like the Lava Orange & Miami Blue but I know
i'd get bored with it after a few months.

Good Luck :D :D

Now that I've had a chance to sit at a computer and look at it properlyI think your spec is bang on although canary yellow wouldn't be my choice (colour is very personal) I know you have lusted after a GT4 in yellow and I think it's a great decision to go back to a 911 as you've obviously missed it so much.

Congrats assuming you push the button and maybe you'll keep this one a little longer or are you going to turn into Arif?

Yes they did, Hawkeye! :)

I definitely owe Virage a beer! 🍺

Prompted by Virage saying that his OPC had a GTS slot, I considered my needs, and my budget! Lovely though a GTS would be, for me the introduction of the Carrera T was perfect timing! Having read lots of reviews from respected publications, I feel that the T is just the 911 for me.

For a while, I have hankered after a yellow Porsche sports car. And the Carrera T would be a far more practical daily driver than Tewkesbury's lovely Racing Yellow GT4. And spookily, they are pretty much the same price!

The trade in offer from Virage's OPC is better than from Tewkesbury, with the recent Tewkesbury offer being based on 12k miles in December and this new offer based on 17k to 18k miles around late March! :D

Thanks, Hawkeye. I did talk nicely to my daughters, and my girlfriend, and they're all on board with my decision! :D

I suppose if you don't require the 5 seats etc. then the 911 is the answer. :D :D :D

Cheers, Scotmac! :) I have gone around the houses to get there, but I think that with Porsche Number Four, I've eventually got it right!

Luke wrote: Mon Jan 08, 2018 6:28 pm Wow! Really love the spec WingCo. Just put the order in!!

And oh, did I say that I LOVE that interior. The sport-tex cloth seats/leather combo would be my first choice.

Perfect contender until the Mission-E is out 8-)

Thanks, Luke! The order will probably be confirmed tomorrow! :)

I've opted to delete the model designation on the rear, as I like the clean look of simply 'PORSCHE'. Can't decide whether to keep the designation logos along the sides of the car... :?

In terms of the colour, could you be tempted to go a tamer colour, like GT silver and then get a yellow wrap? Could give you options and maybe help with resale/residuals further down the line.

Have decided just to go for it with the Racing Yellow! 😎

Love the colour personally, and am speccing for me, rather than for re-sale. 4th time lucky!?

Plus, the main publicity photos and video footage feature the Carrera T in yellow, so I think I can 'get away with' yellow on the T more than with other 911 variants.

The same with the manual transmission. Although less than 10% of 911s have a manual gearbox, I don't think it will be unexpected on the Carrera T. In fact all the reviews I have read say that you should spec the T with a manual box. :ugeek:
