Lovely car. A bit big for taste, especially compared to my own car.
To be honest, if buying an SUV, I’d opt for a Macan over a Cayenne.
Very comfortable, even when I put the air suspension at the low setting, and with Sport Plus ride setting. Spacious & luxurious. The interior was very reminiscent of my 2017 Panamera 4, just higher from the ground.

I test drove one before deciding on the Macan. Absolutely lovely car (dogs fit a treat) but it’s just past the point where physics overcomes technology - it’s big and it feels it. I think if I was in the market for a large luxury SUV I would wind up in a JLR product of some description.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 9:52 pm Lovely car. ^^^ Agreed. The reason I quickly put the air suspension at ‘Low’ and also selected Sport Plus ride setting was to make it feel a bit less like I was driving a (luxurious) van.
If I return to an SUV in the future, am sure that a Macan would be big enough for me.
Thinking back to ‘group tests’ of old, in car magazines, am thinking that the Cayenne often beat its rivals (e.g. BMW, Merc, Audi, RR etc) in the handling department?

The original and second X5 were always praised for their handling and right up there with the Porsche- think they lost their way a bit though

P.S. The hybrid may be heavier, due to carrying the battery, as well as an engine. It certainly felt like a lot of weight, when I came to a stop.

When I was vaguely thinking about a Panny before the 911, my accountant head said to get the hybrid and my office is 5 miles from home and the other main one in the west end - it seemed to make senseWing Commander wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 8:28 am P.S. The sales exec put me off saying I would notice the extra weight and it spoilt the car.

I like the previous generation of Cayennes, they don't look as big and have a very nice rear. I think it's E2 generation from around 2015/2016.
Always catches my eye when I see one.
