370 horses in a 1500kg car is more than enough to get into a whole heap of trouble! Plus I really don’t think we will see them in big numbers so could be quite sought after come resale

I agree, VanB, especially in Racing Yellow with the matching Carrera T interior package & colour-coordinated brakes too!

Too much colour coordination might just look as if your trying to hard ie brakes, remember in a feature 911 less is often more.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2018 11:22 am

Hi Mistertoad!
Very glad to hear that your son is loving his 991.2 and especially the 7-speed manual transmission, as my Carrera T will be a manual too!
As for Carplay/Connect + or whatever, I've never used it in my Panamera and am unlikely to do so in my Carrera T, unless my new OPC have a really good SE who can teach me in simple terms how to use all this 21st Century software!

Regarding the iPhone/voice/dial interface - problem solved. Pressing the voice button for a little longer activate Siri and instant dialling.

Wing Commander!
I saw your car in real life today and it it absolutely gorgeous!!!
So I went to the Brussels Car Expo (first public day) today. On the porsche stand, they had a yellow carrera T, with carrera T yellow leather interior pack, rear seat delete and no PCM. I was lucky enough to get them to open the car and glide my butt in there.
WOW, what a stunning motor! Reading your posts, and reading about the model T, and your choice of yellow, I was a bit sceptical... But in real life.... I WANT ONE!!!
The yellow works so well with the agate grey accents like the engine cover, the posche model T lettering, the wheels and sports design mirrors... and that yellow deviated stitching allover inside is just spot on! Absolutely perfect (altough conservative me would probably go for gt-silver).
I have to say that I liked the way the sporttex seats stick to you as compared to leather seats. Also, I am used to the 18 way seats, but these 4 way sports plus seats in the showcar worked just fine. See no need to upgrade.
What I really love about the T is its simple elegance. No wide rear, no lightbar accross the back, no spoilers, no huge airvents, nice and low to the ground. Just a pure 911, and to me, as it is supposed to be.
CONGRATULATIONS on your choice!
I have my study material for tonight too. Had a look in the new cayenne again, and after spending a day with a panamera too, I’m not a fan of the new big screens and shiny buttons. Needs to get me a 991.2 T before the 992 arrives asap!!! I love the look of the 991.2. I actually prefer the turbo engines (low down torque and easier to drive daily), dont like what i’ve seen on spyshots (buttons, screens and no longer curved bonnet), I think this is the model for me. Now where to park it

Thanks, Orangebulldog!
Now let me ask:
* Did you take any photos of the Racing Yellow Carrera T?
* Did it have standard brakes or PCCBs?
Cheers,
Simon
