I've read in your posts that you do quite a lot of motorway miles at the weekends, adaptive cruise would be one of the first boxes I would tick, once used to it it's a great addition. All the best with your order.

Cheers, Andy! :)

Yes, you're quite right. Every other weekend I do 350 miles on my trip to Kent which is nearly all motorway. However, I figure that I've had three Porsches so far without ACC, so won't miss what I've never had! Also, I rarely use cruise control. In fact, the only time I ever use it is in the 50mph average speed camera roadwork sections on the M4/M25 etc.

Thanks for your good wishes. πŸ‘

I did wonder how long you could resist the 911 section of the forum
Have you got any idea if any build slots are available? I was told they are very limited before shut down.

Cheers, Rab! :)

Luckily, Virage's OPC have a March build slot, which I hope to clinch tomorrow!

Out of interest, what tweaks would you make, to spec your perfect Carrera T? :geek:

Plus, the main publicity photos and video footage feature the Carrera T in yellow, so I think I can 'get away with' yellow on the T more than with other 911 variants.

The same with the manual transmission. Although less than 10% of 911s have a manual gearbox, I don't think it will be unexpected on the Carrera T. In fact all the reviews I have read say that you should spec the T with a manual box. :ugeek:
I think the T is made for manual given its a variant designed for road enjoyment. Also I think launch colours are always a fairly safe bet! πŸ‘
++1, Virage! Thanks again for all your help! πŸ‘

The noise the 911T makes when you listen to it on the configurator is awesome. Just specced one in my perfect combo and staring at it longingly! That will be a very nice car Wingco .... you’re a lucky man!

As someone who doesn't know a lot about the 911 and really should want to educate himself lol what's the main differences between a Carrera T and a GTS.

If you wanted a one word summary...engine

T runs the Carrera engine (370bhp), GTS runs an uprated version of the Carrera S engine. However the T has some unique drivers features as standard such as PTV and lowered PASM which are either not available or an option on other Carreras. Also has a specific T interior.

Cheers, Hawkeye. Will have to check that out...! ;)

Having had the PSE on my 991.1 C2, was keen to get it on my second 911.

Many criticise the 991.2 for sounding inferior to the naturally aspirated 991.1, but as you say, I think it can still sound awesome. Looking forward to 'conducting the orchestra' of that Porsche flat six via the throttle and seven speed manual transmission! :geek:

I find the pops, crackles and burbles addictive!

Very little, maybe loosing a couple of things, like the PDLS and not convinced of its value and havent added it to my GTS, and the dimming mirrors, but then I don't intend doing much night driving. I think the T really suits a minimalist look as it has a lot of its own design features so doesn't need any embellishing to sell well second hand, not that your going to sell it any time soon
