Ha ha - cheers, Kas!Kasfranks99 wrote: βMon Jan 08, 2018 6:29 pm OMG you are nuts.... in a good way
I love yellow in a 911 and all the contrasting colours inside will make it look stunning.
So yellow must be the new Red
Great spec. Folding mirrors? Speed limit display?
Assume going to be an everyday driver? For me that makes a difference in what I would spec. You know I like to tick boxes
When you say it wonβt be another 100 page thread I assume you are going for 200
Good for you and your choice .
The 911 is just an absolutely faboulous car.
More 911 orders on this forum recently than Macans I think.....
Folding mirrors - I considered them, but I'd lose the lovely Sport Design mirrors, so no go.
Speed limit display - haven't had it on the first three Porsches, so I won't miss what I've never had!
Daily driver? Definitely. Will be my sole car, but I'm driving solo for 95% of the miles, hence the return to a Porsche sports car.

Cheers, Spook! Yeah - options only around 5% of base price, so feels 'sensible'. And the Carrera T comes with quite a lot of kit as standard, which is an attraction for me.
I love Miami Blue, but I like Racing Yellow about as much, and it's 'free' rather than being an extra Β£1,800 or so.

Well done Wingco, I think that looks amazing. I've read in your posts that you do quite a lot of motorway miles at the weekends, adaptive cruise would be one of the first boxes I would tick, once used to it it's a great addition. All the best with your order.

It did cross my mind that it only had 4 seats. I am a Panamera fan too - perhaps some day.rossman999 wrote: βMon Jan 08, 2018 7:25 pmI would have a panamera in a second but its only 4 seats - hence the macan

Cheers, VanB!VanB wrote: βMon Jan 08, 2018 6:42 pm Now that I've had a chance to sit at a computer and look at it properlyI think your spec is bang on although canary yellow wouldn't be my choice (colour is very personal) I know you have lusted after a GT4 in yellow and I think it's a great decision to go back to a 911 as you've obviously missed it so much.
Congrats assuming you push the button and maybe you'll keep this one a little longer or are you going to turn into Arif?
Yes, you know I was smitten with that yellow GT4! For me, this Carrera T in Racing Yellow is a more practical, more usable Porsche sports car in that same lovely hue! And they are pretty much the same price, coincidentally!
Famous last words, but the plan is that Porsche Number Four will be a keeper! My built to order Porsche 911!

Cheers, Scotmac! I have gone around the houses to get there, but I think that with Porsche Number Four, I've eventually got it right!

Panamera Sport Turismo has 5 seats, although the middle rear seat is on the small side.

Love the spec Wing, nice bright colour and limited extras, perfect tor a 911T. Would be almost exactly the T I would have including classic yellow.
I did wonder how long you could resist the 911 section of the forum
Have you got any idea if any build slots are available? I was told they are very limited before shut down.

I think the T is made for manual given its a variant designed for road enjoyment. Also I think launch colours are always a fairly safe bet!Wing Commander wrote: βMon Jan 08, 2018 7:24 pm
Plus, the main publicity photos and video footage feature the Carrera T in yellow, so I think I can 'get away with' yellow on the T more than with other 911 variants.
The same with the manual transmission. Although less than 10% of 911s have a manual gearbox, I don't think it will be unexpected on the Carrera T. In fact all the reviews I have read say that you should spec the T with a manual box.
