That is pretty filthy - just like mine was before I gave her some love. Think you need to get out snow foam, 2 buckets, microfibre cloths aplenty, raceglaze rinse, wheel mitts, body mitts, nanotechnology wash mix, quick detailer and air blower then you might actually be able to clean her [emoji15]

I find those lovely wheel brushes on the fully automatic machines do a great job on the rims :o

Very good, boys! ;)

Thankfully I have been educated by this forum to avoid these car wash outfits. More rewarding to wash the car myself and quite therapeutic. :)

Plus, it seems like modern day slavery may be alive & well in certain types of businesses these day, including some of these cut price car wash set ups.

Cheers, Arif! :)

I’ve been happy with them. They gave reassurance when driving in snowy/icy conditions.

Dropping from 20” to 19” wheels, I did not really notice any change in ride quality or noise etc.

And I quite like the opportunity to change the look of the car for around 4 months per year.

The 19” Carrera wheels have received complimentary comments. 8-)

Hope you’re well & enjoying your Porsches?

Yes thanks Simon, although I don't have winter boots on mine so getting driven less when icy/snowy. Mind you has felt a bit spring like the last couple of days.

It does give your T a different look and is probably a nice change once a year.

Good work Simon. They're made to be driven. Now go and post these pictures in one of the detailing forums and make the OCD types twitch at the sight of such a dirty car. :D

When I was in Wales, I ended up driving behind a tractor that was moving hay bales. The stuff was coming off the back and I was at least 5 car lengths behind doing about 10mph. The combination of mud, hay and water along with grit and everything else coming off the road was only made obvious when I stopped. Every single piece of hay that came off the tractor had stuck to the car like static cling and it was sucked up against all the mesh radiator covers, bonnet air intake and the air louvres over the wheel arches. It took me an hour to clean everything out and the louvres over the wheel arches are the devil's work to clean if you have large hands.

When I took the car in to have tyres changed, the fitter asked me if I'd been driving it in a field and showed me a pile of matted hay that he'd pulled out of the recesses of the car. Even with an underbody lance, I wasn't able to reach into all the areas so it seems that a wheel off job is necessary to give it a proper clean. The fitter said that it wasn't that bad, he'd pulled dead Squirrels, frogs, the rotten remains of a Pheasant out of a couple of other cars and said that the new GT2 is particularly good for getting wildlife into the side intakes! Things they don't tell you in the brochure....

How many miles are you on now?
