Bad luck re the nail!

I vote for the PS4S x4, instead of a repair.
I’d get it repaired if it was a nearly new, but not with 3mm ish remaining. I’d be changing those at just under 3mm anyway.

I hate having my wheels messed with by tyre places, so safer for the car/wheels to get all done in one go.
Also, less time wasted sitting in tyre depot waiting rooms.

The PS4S will be a big improvement over the Pirelli you have now. They’re also a bargain!
Some might say, your car will be transformed :)

Think of it as a cheap chassis mod, plus something else to look forward to when spring springs in 2020 :D

It may be true that I have a bit of a “potty mouth” however autocorrect seems to be well acquainted with every expletive you can think of and I’m pretty sure that I didn’t teach Siri every one!

SAC1 wrote: Mon Nov 18, 2019 8:16 pm Yes in that location it should be repairable. Provided it's a "clean" nail penetration and not chewed up the inner liner of the tyre. Any reputable tyre dealer will confirm on inspection.

Blackcircles are owned by Michelin, as are ATS Euromaster. They have several branches in your area Simon and are fitting agents for Blackcircles.

I've been running on a repaired [punctured by a nail] rear tyre for the last 12000 miles.
Thanks, Steve.

Semerka wrote: Mon Nov 18, 2019 8:43 pm Agree, that should be repairable and you should be able to run them down as intended. I had a big screw in my Macan tyre in that location, when new, and the repair lasted the life of the tyre.

I have the same wheels ready to go on Ruby, dressed in Pirelli Sottozero N1's. We might swap to them this Sunday.

By the way, isn't the area around Tewkesbury flooded? 🙁
Thanks, Semerka.

Luckily no flooding at the OPC! Although Burford, where I went for breakfast, had big puddles in the car park and the river there was at a very high level. 💦

VanB wrote: Mon Nov 18, 2019 8:49 pm I had 2 rears done at Swindon at a shade over £600 which was only £50 more than I could have got the tyres from Black Circles. Obvious complication with a GTS is the centre lock wheels but Swindon were excellent
Sounds like a great deal! :)

Thanks, Red5 and Tracky.

Sounds like putting 4 x Michelin PS4S on my summer wheels sounds like the sensible approach. 🤓
