Looking @ LLL parts , as I have never heard of them, they don’t appear to enjoy very good Trustpilot reviews!

I've had no issues, place order requirements, await email with shipping costs and place order - email when items despatched, arrive a few days later.

Perhaps they dont pay people to raise false reports ?

Thanks, Happy! :)

From various reports, I think that both the window switch units, and the windscreen washer pipe, are potential weak points in the Porsche parts line-up. ;)

If you want a bit more confidence then LLL Parts supply original Porsche parts, prices better than OPC - delivery takes a few weeks but bought a few small bits from them and all has been good, supplied in Porsche boxes/labelled bags etc

You don't regret this though do you?
No point in having regrets. :) Although if I were buying a new 911 today, I don’t think I’d do the same again. Maybe one or two modifications, but probably less changes than I’ve had done to my Carrera T... Hey, we live and learn... :P
Well Simon, that post is a close as you can get to expressing regrets without having regrets. ;)

Never mind the mods, if you had your time again would you choose a 911 as a daily driver knowing you would be covering 10-12k miles a year?

Hi Peter,

Yes, absolutely! I still love my car! Over 37k miles covered in less than 4 years, despite Covid.

My Racing Yellow iconic 911 makes me smile every time that I see it & drive it!

Still planning to keep it for the foreseeable future, although now it’s out of warranty, I may start using an independent for future servicing needs etc. ;)

Cheers,
Simon

Cheers,
I nearly did a response this am asking why you were not using an independent . Mind you you may not have got the turbo work done under goodwill

I have come to the conclusion there are two ways of running a Porsche past three years old, official warranty and OPC or carry repair risks oneself and use good independent.

Of the independents near me, most are 911/Boxman specialists with as yet little Macan work. The one independent Cridfords that seems to some Macan work is just inconvenient if I ever need to get there by Public transport. Hence my own decision to extend warranty and continue to use the nearest convenient OPC

Have booked MOT at Tewkesbury Porsche, as they store & do my wheel swaps. And there is a max that they can charge for an MOT.

I might get an indy quote for the windscreen washer pipe & window switch unit, to see if I can get the OPC to reduce their quote for those bits...

Eek! 😬 We’ve been unlucky... :(

Just as well that we still love our 911s...

Now booked in with OPC for new windscreen washer pipe and window switch unit.

Used an indy quote to nudge the initial OPC quote down a bit too! ;)
