Mr T has his 8 month birthday tomorrow.
Not clean in this photo, but I liked the warm glow of the car this afternoon, despite the wet and cloudy weather.
Covered 9,790 miles so far.
Going into Swindon OPC tomorrow, as a cooling system fault cropped up this weekend. Oil temperature is normally around 90 degrees centigrade (in Sport mode) but climbed to 104 degrees on Sunday and 107 degrees this morning.
Folks on Rennlist say it might be a faulty change over valve, or perhaps the water pump issue that has affected some 991.2s.

I had to get the water pump in mine replaced after it sprung a leak. Easy to spot if you look under the car from behind as the water pump is at the very rear of the engine. If its leaking you will see where the coolant has discoloured some of the pipework that runs accross below it. I would have though the car should have brought up a low collant fault before it overheated though. Mine never overheated even though it was leaking quite a bit.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 5:47 pm Mr T has his 8 month birthday tomorrow.

BTW my oil temp can clilb to over 100 at times without showing fauts.

Doesn't the oil temperature change when in sport mode?

Thanks, Rab. I have asked them to check out the water pump and they have ordered in a change over valve too. Seems that a few 991.2s have needed a water pump replacement. No low coolant fault has shown up. The overheating does correct itself after a while, but something is certainly not as it should be. Oil temp rose to 104 degrees centigrade on Sunday and 107 yesterday. I run in Sport mode pretty much all the time and the temp is usually steady at around the 90 degrees mark.Rab J wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 11:08 pm I had to get the water pump in mine replaced after it sprung a leak. I think that’s right, happy. If I ran in Normal mode, the oil temp would be a bit higher. But for nearly 10,000 miles I have run almost exclusively in Sport mode, where once warmed up, the oil temp is usually around 90 degrees or so.
