I prefer "considerably better value for money"

Not sure 'cheap' and 'Porsche' should appear in the same sentence! ;)

Having said that, the GTS is a great machine, and if I suddenly 'found' £15k down the back of my sofa, I might have reverted to the GTS build slot originally mentioned by Virage! :P

Well done WC. Sensible price for a great looking car. If I could afford a 911, it wouldn't be much different.

I think the T really suits a minimalist look as it has a lot of its own design features so doesn't need any embellishing to sell well second hand, not that your going to sell it any time soon
Good points, Rab.

The reason that I added auto dimming mirrors, rain sensor, cruise control and light design package was that I have them in the Panamera and might miss them... :?

The reason I added the PDLS was purely cosmetic, as I thought the black background of the lights might go better with some of the dark grey features of the Carrera T.

The reason I added the Chrono package is that I am used to having the 'clock' in the Panamera and it breaks up the top of the dashboard.

On reflection, none of the above were in my original spec and I could fairly easily save £1,600!

My only 'must haves' are the yellow paint, Carrera T interior, ParkAssist (front & rear) and the heated steering wheel.

Thoughts? Virage? Anyone?

I have had a good look at your spec Simon and have to say I do not think I would change anything if I specced a 911T myself. I would have to test PS+ as I find that usefull on Macan but assume you can add that as a software upgrade to the 911T at a later date if required.

My 911 GTS spec would be very different though to my 911T.

Yes agree sport designs are worth keeping and not having them folding 👍
Driving it everyday is what it’s all about.
Thrilled for you. Enjoy the journey 😀😎

Yes you are right - that cheaper sounded bad ;)

Lower priced because it focuses on driving engagement not pure speed, would have been better!!

I think for a daily driver I would keep auto dimming and cruise. Chrono is a must for me on any driver focused (relatively in the Porsche range) Porsche variant so would keep that. Light design pack I think you could do without in a 911, although I agree I would always spec with a larger Porsche like a Macan or Panamera where to me it makes more of a difference given the increased interior space. I think you are right that the PDLS lights would look slightly better - but to me, not sufficiently to justify the expenses if you wanted to keep the budget a little lower.

Certainly much better value than a GTS, think I can say that as I'm buying one. No such a thing as a cheap Porsche. The base model in any range is always good value and the T being a base plus plus is doubly good value and will probably hold its value better than any other 911 bar a GT3.
