A wee update.. I've still got the courtesy Carrera T and I must say... I absolutely love the colour.. it's grown on me so much.. black alloys along with other black accents would make it look better still alla GTS, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker keeping the graphite grey contrasting wheels etc.. The handling is a step up, albeit it a small one, but it's noticeable and a more engaging experience for it. I've grown to like the PSE as well, although I'd probably still go for the Capristo. The sportex clad seats are the most comfortable I've sat in compared to my leather clad sport 4 way and my fathers standard 4 way seats. Definitely would have chosen them if I could turn back time.. Performance is all you'll ever need despite the deficit to an S, certainly given the extra feel of the T over my C2S. Dare I say it... it feels a bit more special to drive than my S.. honestly, it does.. all in IMO of course.

cheers,

Cowan
Hi Cowan,

Very interesting to read your mini-reviews of the T, and good to hear that you’re enjoying it so much.

Loving my Racing Yellow - now on 6,475 miles already! :)

Yep - Miami is a great colour! Saw a gorgeous Miami Blue 991.2 GT3 at Purely Porsche at Blenheim Palace today! Quite a few GT3s in fact, one with Touring Pack, and a 911R.

Hoping that you get your C2S back soon!

Cheers,

Simon
Hi Simon,

Got my C2S back yesterday.. after a total of 7 weeks and three visits to the OPC.. The problems appear to be finally sorted. At long last! In the end the dealer did what I said they should have done all along... simply replace the suspect plastic parts which cost peanuts, even if at times the fault can't immediately be found, at least you're narrowing down what the possible problem can be. In this case especially as it could only have been the washer bottle. It saves the dealer time and effort and above all keeps the customer happy.
Took her out for a blast along some local twisty stuff last night and the leaks have not reappeared.. thankfully! It also gave me a chance to compare my S to the T and (again) they are very different in feel. My S sits notably higher off the ground than the T even if it is only 10mm in reality, however it's probably exacerbated by the softer damping. I should have gone the GTS route for that slightly more "special" feel in hindsight, but hey.. I can hardly complain! The low to mid range wallop the S has over the T is something I do prefer though. All in all they are both superb and it's been an interesting experience which will definitely impact on how I choose the next time round (if I'm lucky).

cheers,

Cowan

Hi Cowan,

Very glad to hear that at last you have your C2S back! :)

Hopefully your OPC can re-earn your confidence as time goes by!

As you say, both the Carrera T and the C2S are great cars! In fact, there is no such thing as a bad 911 (in my book). It’s great that there is such a breadth of choice within the 911 model line up.

It will be interesting to see what the 992 brings. Official unveiling due within the next month or two, I think...

Cheers,

Simon

Whenever it is it will certainly be interesting to see what effects the new regulations have had as well as how the redesigned cockpit looks undisguised

Lots of Panamera influence on the interior and dashboard from what I’ve seen... 🤔

Apparently so but not sure that is what is appropriate in a sports car. Believe noise reduction also part of new regs so will sports exhausts be a thing of the past?
