Thanks, Rab. If repaired under warranty, then all good. Perhaps most 991.2 owners buy an extended Porsche warranty. But for those that don’t, where Porsche have admitted to a known manufacturing error, and where the same pump and valve block have been given a 10 year warranty in other territories, I’d be very disappointed if Porsche don’t do the decent thing and stump up...
Yes, I hope so too Simon. Mine went just within the warranty.

Fingers crossed Simon that Porsche replace it FOC.

Longevity of parts is one thing that does concern me about long term Porsche ownership.

Thanks, Nick and Col. :)

I’m sure that Porsches are generally well-built, with quality parts, but when things go wrong on a large scale (e.g. water pumps on 991.2s or transfer boxes on Macans) they should be recalling, or at least replacing the sub-standard parts without quibbling.

Car went in to the OPC this morning for the coolant leak to be investigated.

I hope that my courtesy car isn’t an ominous omen... 😬

Possibly that's why it looks like he went to an independent rather than OPC. You never know he may prefer the anonymity and the no response economy set up of the transmission over a bright yellow turbo consuming 911T. :D :D :D :D ;) ;) ;) ;)

Ha ha  No, the car’s at Swindon OPC. The first time I’ve had a non-Porsche courtesy car in 5 years! :(

Apparently there are some cars in the workshop that are taking longer than expected to fix, so all of the Porsche courtesy cars are out on loan. Or maybe they realise that I’ll start to use an indy for repairs & servicing, if they don’t cough up for this coolant leak issue! ;)
