Barely run in, on only 7k miles. ;)

That one has black wheels (rather than Titanium Grey) and a few more toys than mine...
Its a YouTubers car (TGE?) from what's been said on Pistonheads.

^^^ So maybe that’s why he’s not in the real world in terms of the price he’s asking?!

Agreed, maybe an opportunity to trade up once you get the turbos sorted 😉problem is how much to replace but worth a look just out of interest 👍

My mind does sometimes wonder as to what I’d like next... But I’ve had this car longer than any other, and I have to say it’s my favourite so far. Although I did spec a 4.0 Cayman GTS on the configurator earlier

I think I’ll keep this for some time, especially once the coolant leak is fixed, and it has new turbos. Plus, there’s the money I spent at Litchfield, plus the winter wheel/tyre set! :P
If you plan to keep the car, Simon, that's great but make sure it's for the right reasons. Yes, you've spent a lot of money on it but you're never likely to get that back however long you keep the car. The very reasons you love the car, modified to your requirements and a great daily driver are going to make it harder to sell. The cost to change gets greater as time goes on. Cars are a money swamp: they draw you in and are very hard to get away from.

The older car is the less annual depreciation and repair costs may or may not offset the depreciation saving.
However, the more often one changes the more often the motor industry takes its cut on the churn. I am of the view few car swops offers the cheapest motoring

Ps Can the forum afford Simon swooping and another 100 page plus thread? :D :D :D :D

Thanks, Peter. Wise words. :) (Both my OPC and Paragon said they want their cars in the showroom to be largely as they came out of the factory (i.e. not modified))

I agree, pmg. I changed my first three Porsches in quick succession, and I don’t want to add up what that cost me in depreciation/OPC profit margin. ;)

I too agree that as depreciation is generally the largest cost of motoring, keeping a car for longer should lead to more economical ownership in the long run. Maybe I’ll be one of those old guys who’s kept his 911 for many years and done 100,000+ miles in it... :D
