WingCo, someone up there was listening to me and today we got this gorgeous loaner for a couple of days whilst the 718 Cayman GTS is being serviced. 8-)
I hope that I will get to go for a little drive tonight after I get home. It is a PDK though, which is a shame, but still, must not grumble.

A Carrera T as a loaner. Very nice! Hope you enjoy it & I look forward to hearing your thoughts, albeit a PDK... ;)

P.S. Is that your back garden...?!

I wish! :D Not our back garden, but our neck of the woods. It's Denbies vineyard in Dorking, Surrey.
Great backdrop for car photography, haha! :)

Lovely! My Carrera T visited a local vineyard recently. Maybe the natural habitat of a 911!? ;)

Which vineyard was that? ๐Ÿ˜Ž

So, I can confirm, that the T is a really lovely car, very easy to drive with the PDK. It's not really any faster than our 718 Cayman GTS, but it wins hands down in the looks and sound departments. It also feels more grown up. Cayman feels like a toy car, which it is, I suppose. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This loaner is a basic spec, whereas our Cayman has the GTS interior, which feels more premium. This loaner T does not have the back seats, but still everything is carpeted at the back and so it makes for a very good luggage space. The suspension on the T is harder than on our Cayman.

I don't think now that I would swap into a T from a Cayman GTS because there's no difference in performance really. I would probably swap into a 911 GTS, but it's academic because both of them are out of bounds for us.

So well done WingCo, you got yourself one classic beauty in great colour! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Aldwick Estate, near Bristol. ๐Ÿท

Glad that you enjoyed the T. :)

Mine has the Carrera T interior package, so kind of similar to the GTS interior package. Leather dash and door tops etc. Yellow seat belts and door openers. And beautiful deviated stitching throughout in Racing Yellow, Sport-Tex seat centres with yellow pinstripes. :D

For me, the performance of the T is more than adequate, and more than a sane person would use on a public road, so not sure that Iโ€™d stretch my budget to a GTS, although they are an awesome bit of kit!

Thanks for your kind words and Iโ€™m glad that your OPC gave you such a nice loaner. 8-)

There is a shortage of courtesy cars due to the factory shut down and people waiting for their new cars, thatโ€™s why we were so lucky. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I "bumped" into Rob (my other half) who was driving the T home from work this evening and followed him home in my car for a bit.
The T looks even more gorgeous in motion when you follow one, with it's spoiler up. 8-)

Good news that there are so many vineyards in UK nowadays. One day we will do a tour. :)

As long as you didnโ€™t bump into Rob literally!
