Ok - so after being told that my build date had been put back to 26th of March - I've just been informed that the car is now sat at Emden waiting to come over the waters and could be here next week!

And yes you've just reminded me - where did I put my wallet!

Exciting time for all
(and confirmation that the factory have no meaningful communication with the UK dealers when it comes to delivery dates!)

Was at the Newcastle Cayenne launch last night & had a good discussion with my SE about my delivery date. Looking on the system it has my dealer exit date as the 18th of May but he seems to think that I could be looking at a week earlier as that tends to be a worst case scenario. The last time he checked this date was the 1st of June. I’ll take that!!

Just heard from my SE (a man of relatively few words ;) ) and sounds like my car is on track (build completion was due yesterday) and we're hoping for a collection date of Friday 6th April. :) Will be a very nice belated Easter present, and the same colour as an Easter chick, before anyone else says it, VanB!

It's more like a canary WingCo but the T does look good in that colour so you will be the envy of many I expect. Good news that you've got a date.

BTW the GTS is surprising frugal on fuel so I expect the T will be too. Managed 32 mpg on a 40 mile motorway trip this week and averaging 25 around town so something else to be chuffed about :D

Good to hear, VanB. :ugeek: Good MPG, when taking it easy, compared to a Macan, thanks to the lighter weight and more aerodynamic shape of the 911. :)

really??? That is astounding MPG and very welcome to hear, not that fuel consumption is first and foremost on my mind, but it does mean you won't be heading for a petrol station on every trip. Should be interesting to see what I get out of my C2S after it arrives next week.

I remember that when I had my 991.1 C2, it delivered better MPG than my previous car, the 2.0 Macan!

Have to say that’s fantastic MPG VanB

I suppose a lot will compare it to the Macan GTS MPG but the 911 is a fair bit lighter.
The PDK is also better on fuel economy than the manual too.

Interested to hear how many miles you can get from a full tank...which I think is 64L?
GTS 😀
