Build and delivery dates for Macans and 911s (and others) in the next few months

Sounds like a GTS for you then Kas - not a bad 3rd or 4th choice given the rarified models you've quoted!

To be honest I love the styling of the Turbo S exclusive and subtle colour touches.
The GTS for me is the most sensible choice purely because of the amount of ticks I put in boxes on all my cars

I will look forward to you all getting yours and admiring the pics and will see what happens with production timescales and I should have more time to make some decisions. Nothing will sway me away from a 911. Well nothing since I was 6 years old

I am not sure anyone knows when orders will finish as I don't think anyone knows when the factory close will finish. However my recommendation would be if you want one, get one asap as you might be able to get one before factory close...else it will be a at least a reasonable wait and could be a long wait if there is an order backlog over the summer months when new orders come in but nothing is built.

I dont think i am going to be ready to do it before factory close as have too much stuff on currently.
Do you think there will be options towards end of year to order or are we then looking at 992?

I honestly don't know. I think it will be clearer within the next two months once Geneva has come...what cars are launched and discussed there will help to confirm what might happen later in the year.

It’s the fine detail in the exclusive I love.
And the colour is just something else. Not a colour I would have on any other car but it just all looks so right on this.
Porsche do this very well. Add a few bells and whistles increase the price and hey presto.

Porsche are sending through lots of cars at the moment and there is a good chance that many build dates will get moved forward as they try and get as many cars out before factory shut down between May and September. There will be no petrol Porsches coming out of the factory (except 718 Boxster/Caymans) during that period and that includes petrol Macans, Cayennes, Panameras. There will still be diesel cars coming out of the factory.

When you talk about factory shut down, do you mean all assembly sites? The Macan, Cayenne and Panamera are all assembled in Leipzig whereas the other cars are assembled in Stuttgart. There must be something fairly dramatic going on if Porsche are prepared to lose a third of a year's production.

My CP08 date is 20th March. I'd be delighted if that somehow came forward by 2 weeks!
