Ahhhhh, the Maxi.....my first car (well it was my mum’s and I’d just passed my test.) Back seats folded absolutely flat and the front seats reclined flush into them .....can’t think why I remember that.....😉😉

I’ve never seen them down in daylight.

Back in the late eighties, I had a Sierra XR4i stolen in order to be relieved of its Rostyle wheels. The break in methods were a bit cruder in those days: a large punch was used to knock the driver's door lock out. They used the same method to open the hatchback to remove the spare. Using the boot release on the centre console was obviously beyond them!
