Its awful... Their interior designs have not been good for some time to be honest.
It looks like it was designed on the back of a napkin with a crayon after 20 pints...

The quality is good though.

They’ve obviously found the solution to the criticism of the “i-pod stuck on the dash” - simply make all the other dials that height too!

Could be worse - they could have hired the designer of this one ;)

Haven't liked Mercedes for years although my first 2 "premium" cars were Mercs. I think they have become ever more plastically and flimsy and the interior design is harder and harder on the senses whilst quality has gone down the toilet!

In 2001 i bought a new SLK and apparently the build quality had started to drop off just before then !! Trying to make more profit .
It never let me down in two and half years but lots of minor niggles, corroding alloys around the badge, headlight corrosion, roof not going up or down (stuck in one position), lambda warning light (cat) keep coming on, and you had to take it to Mercedes to reset it each time, eventual solution to that was remove the multipoint connector in the engine compartment and solder the connections together (on instruction from Germany).

Sold It and I vowed never to buy another Mercedes, I didn't and wouldn't now especially now with the iPad stuck on the dash (trend now being followed by Audi)

Oh dear!

Although Mercedes must be doing something right, as the C Class is constantly in the Top Ten of numbers of cars sold in the UK, having displaced the BMW 3 Series. Lots of company car drivers with a C Class, I would guess... :geek:

The look on my wife’s face when I showed her the picture above said it all, she looked like she’d just opened a bottle of rancid milk. What an awful design. Let’s hope Porsche don’t go that way.
