I just compared my Turbo spec with as near as comparable S and the sums were £77,187 v £89,170 for the S. That's a bit more than negligible to my eyeTrosley wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 1:26 pm In fairness, you cannot compare a Macan S with a new Cayenne S. If just based on horsepower the Cayenne has to be compared with a Macan Turbo Performance Package both being 440 hp. If you spec the two cars similarly then, by my calculation, the difference is negligible.

Space is the reason I’ve jumped from Macan to Cayenne.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 2:20 pmTrosley wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 1:26 pm In fairness, you cannot compare a Macan S with a new Cayenne S. Not much in it in performance terms, as Cayenne is a bigger, heavier car. Between Macan S and Cayenne S, 0-62 is only 0.2 seconds different and top speed (pretty irrelevant) is 7mph different (157 v 164).
Macan Turbo with PP is much quicker than a Cayenne S, having the same horsepower, but in a smaller, lighter & better handling package.
Only reason to buy a Cayenne over a Macan is because you want a Porsche SUV and you need a bigger boot/back seat space than that offered by the Macan.
0-60 in 3.9 seconds is just a disadvantage I’ll learn to live with.
