Purchase 991.2 911 GTS now or wait for 992 release?

Buying an NA 991.1 makes more sense. Other than the motor, cosmetic styling differences and infotainment are the only changes between that and .2. I think 992 is going to be 991.2 with not much more beyond slight cosmetic tweaks and the infotainment upgrade per Cayenne.

I suspect they will offer PSCB on a GTS variant so there might be a middle ground between steel and ceramic brakes.

Not having a sports exhaust which is rumoured would be a pain but easily solved after market.

Hmm, yes a good shout buying a 991.1 NA engine. They are holding their value very well indeed!
Food for thought...... Cheers guys

The only thing on the 991.1 - look out for the utter bogus steering wheel that a lot of them got. the gear shifters are on the wheel, not the nice GT style wheel that comes as standard now...

still a belter of a car...and steering wheels can be swapped out!

As a fun car that needs to be driven hard I’d go 991.1 but as a more versatile DD I’d go 991.2

According to this guy, the new 992 GTS model would be launched nearer 2022! Ok, I need to find a 991.2 C4 GTS build slot somewhere!

Thanks Wallaby!
I feel like I'd be cheating on my dealer as I have a good relationship with them!
But if I could get a slot at the end of this year I'd be happy

I know that the SEs can sometimes "swap" allocations. ( that may only be between similarly owned dealerships)
I was looking for a 991.2 C4 slot before the shutdown - but that is proving to be a forlorn hope. Rob didn't have one. I may have to look for a late .2
in the approved arena.

Certain dealerships will have a history of swappping allocations between each other, but it has to suit both, and with pre particulate shutdown slots dissapearing fast on certain models they may be less inclned to swap.
