Not a 918 or Cayenne but a Panamera.
Apologies for polluting this Macan forum further with another model, but here goes.......

"Things have changed" sings Bob Dylan, well they are about to in the BBR mototoring world. Mrs B has persuaded me to buy a Panamera S E Hybrid. It's 2 yrs old with 19k miles from Glasgow OPC, we collect it in 2 weeks time. This came about because I was intending to order a Carmine GTS, one of the last builds before petrol production stops for 6 months. I found 3 OPC's (Nottingham, Teeside and Colchester) with build slots and an early May delivery, but Mrs B said, "NO!", "always wanted a Panamera" she said - news to me!

The Panamera will suit our useage very well, many sub 30 mile drives for me then 2 or 3 long distance forays into Euroland each year which is about 75% of annual miles.
I've read of the downsides, weird brake feel, excessive weight etc but with no VED, solar panels providing free electricity on clear days for 20 miles and a quiet luxury ride, in a car that was about Β£115,000 less than 2 yrs ago, I'll accept it for what it is.
It's well specced in metallic black, cream/black interior, 911 turbo wheels, sports chrono, soft close doors, LED' pdsl+, Bose, Air & PASM (standard), surround view, st wheel heated, fr & rear heated seats, loads of design bits, leather and sports tailpipes.
I found 27 with black interior - not for us and only 3 with cream interior, of those the Glasgow one was the best, so jumped on it, the others were from outside the Porsche network so not for me and Mr Clydesdale has been very efficient as always, 48 hrs to offer some finance.
We really like the acid green brakes and highlights.
Macan not being sold for now, I would like to keep it but Mrs B says "NO!" again - her favourite word. So to satisfy my hooligan moments we plan to change her 105hp 500 S twinair for an Abarth 595.
Photos not the actual car but almost the same, OPC removed the listing so no access to pics.

Looks a good deal Frank.

No doubt you have already started to thinks about changes to it or is that being reserved for modding the Fiat.

Now, that would be a display of exceptional good taste!

Macan > Panamera > Racing Yellow 911 ;)

Enjoy the Panamera, Frank! :)

Yes Colin, I've done a few mods to the Macan, mild window tint all round, shiny window trim de-chromed to black, a red S on the back, all easily reversed, but it was perhaps a mistake to paint the calipers yellow. A while ago, an SE at Cambridge came out to compliment me on my Ceramics, until I explained; with his Porsche hat on, he was was not impressed in fact quite sniffy, nor did he like the mudflaps but with his car hat on, he really liked them. If I end up with a private buyer for the Macan, if he likes them then fine, if not I'll put them back to standard silver.
As for mods to the Panamera, forbidden to do anything to it by Mrs B, not even fog lamps! We love the acid green . I am having the shiny PORSCHE letters on the boot changed to black though, not really a mod since It's a Porsche option.
My ideal garage would be a yellow Cayman, a mexco blue Macan and a Carmine Panamera, only space for two cars long term really. An Abarth should be fun around town and in multi-storeys - exclusion zones for the Panamera.
Not in a rush to sell the Macan, perhaps prices will firm up with no petrol production for 6 months and continuing woes for all diesels.
I forgot to add one of the Panamera options - rear entertainment screens and bluetooth headsets, well over Β£2500 I think.
I'll add an update after I've navigated the barge that is the Panamera from Glasgow to Norwich.

Looks nice (although I have to admit that I borrowed one for a couple of weeks in the same spec / colour and really didn't like the [petrol] drivetrain).
